The Residential appraisal department is responsible for annual discovery and recording of new residential property, checking existing structures for physical changes, and analyzing and interpreting market transactions to apply updated market values each year to all residential properties in the county. New properties are inspected and physically measured each year during on-site inspections. Changes to existing properties as a result of new additions, demolitions, or condition are also accomplished through on-site inspections and with the use of high-resolution aerial photography and interactive GIS software.
