The Land Appraisal department is responsible for annual valuation of all vacant and improved land parcels within the county. Analysis and interpretation of sales and market trends is utilized to reflect updated values each year. Bell County’s continual growth has illustrated a transitional trend from rural to suburban/urban land. This department also coordinates with residential builders and developers in the county for the valuation of inventory as provided by the Texas Property Tax Code.
